Larry Jensen – Part Two

At most events, Glenda turns over half to seventy percent of her time to Jensen, which is a bad move since attendees come to see her.

“Surely Jensen has met Jesus” we thought, and “That is why Glenda has shared her platform with him.”

Unfortunately, the “god consciousness” he is purported as having is not synonymous with, nor inclusive of, a “Christ Consciousness.”

There is no evidence he is a Christ follower, whether in his presentations, website, or other materials. There are no confessions of faith, no prayers or supplications, no scripture quoting, and no praise or worship.

The biggest proof he doesn’t know God, is his equating the Kundalini experience with the baptism of the Holy Spirit:

More commonly known in western cultures as Holy Spirit, Kundalini is the ancient sanskrit name for the primal life force that animates all living entities — the evolutionary force behind all living matter. It operates unconsciously until awakened through Shaktipat Inititation. Shaktipat is a sanskrit word for the process of activating the higher Kundalini-Shakti energy, initiating the process of spiritual growth and enlightenment and advancing personal evolution dramatically. This has also been called the “baptism by fire” and “second birth” — a truly sacred mystical experience.

“By crossing the fontanelle bone (the little fountain) on top of our heads, the Kundalini actualizes self-realization, our second birth or baptism. … This is the very same wind of the Holy Ghost that Christ’s disciples felt at Pentecost.” (From his web site.)

That is ridiculous. The Kundalini process initiates from within the individual, the experience on Pentecost was from without:

1 AND when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Acts 2)

This was an external phenomenon that entered them from without. The immediate affect was that they were able to speak in other tongues, which Kundalini experiencers are not. There were other gifts manifested as well:

16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: (Acts 2)

Prophecy, visions, and prophetic dreams are the modus operandi of the Spirit-filled Christian. The following gifts are manifested as well:

7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: (1 Corinthians 12)

These gifts are to benefit all. If there is a prayer for help, and a Spirit-filled servant available, God will speak words of knowledge and healing from the one to the other. The fact we have been in Glenda and Jensen’s gatherings where people were in need, and not a single word of knowledge, or healing was given, is indicative that the Spirit was not present.

This, in our opinion, is the primary reason their attendance numbers are not higher, which reflects a greater disconnect than meets the eye.

The Kundalini is not synonymous with the Holy Spirit, the Baptism of Fire, or the power that was manifested on the day of Pentecost (see examples of Jesus followers on Jesus page).
